how long to get stuff from the mint?
 

i ordered that silverdollar/penny set from the mint (the one with the 50,000 mintage).

they charged my card about 3 weeks ago, no coin set yet.

is this normal?

Whenever I've had backorders from the mint, they only charged me when they shipped.

If you created an account and ordered through the web, you can log on check the status of the order. If it shipped, the date will be shown.

That's right. They only hit your credit card when the item is shipped.

You can track your order online if you ordered and have an account through their website. A FEDEX tracking number was issued once shipped, so you should be able to "see" where it is. If you did not order through the website, call with your order number. They should be able to provide you with a tracking number.

FYI: FEDEX shipped it to your local post office. The USPS delivered it to the address. NO signature required, just drop and go. Found mine shoved in a door.

oh, beautiful. i logged in to my account, it says i have never placed an order with the mint.

If this is the Lincoln Chronicles, I ordered mine on Oct. 16 and it was delivered on Nov. 5. They didn't charge me until a few days before it shipped. I did not set up an account, but was given an order number and tracked it with that from the mint's website.

yeah, you're right, fedex says they gave it the po here on halloween. po says they've never heard of it. mint doesn't care, fedex doesn't care. guess who that leaves me dealing with?

Deal with your credit card company. Tell them you never received the order and you want the charge reversed.
